I currently have 205/40/16 (summer), and 205/55/16(winter). I am going to go with 17" wheels this year, and what tire combo will be appropriate disregarding winter bc I'm going to use the 16's for that?

The old stand by SVT wheels work great & fit w/ no issues too. you have a choice of styles too. Use the popular 215/45-17 size tire. Hit up Trevor@ Tirerack.

Are you wanting to stay with a summer only tire or maybe a performance all season tire? Either 205/45-17 or 215-45-17 are popular replacement sizes with more selection and possibly better prices in the latter size. A 7" x 17" wheel will handle both of those tire sizes.

If mileage is a factor I would stick with an all-season. Are you looking more for performance or comfort?
