I had just installed my FC TB and volant cai, the throttle response is leap and bounds better than the stock throttle and intake. I had taken it out to drive and notice that there isn't much change at the low end but get the car up to speed and you notice that it accelerates much faster. Under normal acceleration the car is fairly quiet, but mesh the gas and the motor will rumble more than stock.

P.S- I also noticed that after I installed the intake the MAF had a wire that came out and now I have a check engine light that is on. I am wondering if it is possible to strip the wire and plug it back into the MAF sensor? If not were can I get a new MAF? Thanks

check at a junk yard for the maf... unless you are willing to put out some cash, go to your ford dealership and have them replace it.

Is this problem going to harm my engine or is it fine untill I can get a new MAF? How much would it cost to have the dealership to install a new one?

Is it the MAF sensor or the plug? If it's the MAF itself there's one on Ebay for sale by a guy I trust for like $15. If it's the plug then let me know and we'll find one before you get bent over by the dealer.

It is in the plug. If I remember correctly I do believe it is the wire that goes into the F labled plug, all others A-E are in the plug. I hope that it is something that I can fix without me having to go to the blood thursty dealership and have it fixed.

Let me check my spare wiring harness. If it has the MAF plug and you want it, it's yours. You'd need to solder the wires and make a splice, bit that shouldn't be too bad. Let me check and i'll get back to you.

Well I checked and no go. E-mail my friend Dan at:dwerkema@prodigy.net and see if he has one. Tell him I sent you to him. He's in Dorr, MI if you're close you can pick it up and save both the wait and shipping. He's top-notch.

Thanks Jim for the help. Unfortantly Dorr,MI is quiet the distance from where I live. Is there some where online that I could fine the wire harness w/ wires? If not looks like I'm off to the dealer$hip

Sounds like I should really get it to contact with this guy. I really don't want to go to the dealership.

No sweat. I SHOULD get a bit of a kickback from him for all the pimping I do for him, but I don't He just strikes me as a guy who wants to help us out and make a dollar or two in the process.

Today I had a chance to take the car out on the highway. Let me say that low end power is still about the same but get the car upto 2,500 rpm and the power gains are more noticable. The power seems to have shifted towards the mid to higher rpm range. The car accelerates from 20mph-70mph much quicker, and for the first time I was able to break the 100mph mark with out driving down a hill.
