I want to get about 300hp on my zetec eventually.

Will a stock 4F27E tranny handle that?

How much and what do I need to make it handle it?

Or should I just go Lentech trany?

Lentech tranny is $2500

I can get a brand new stock 4F27E for $700.

Get a tune would be the best bet.

You don't need a lentech trany, it's pretty hard to break the stock trany.

I would updated your valvebody and maybe your torque converter

For 300 you would need the Lentech and a good tune where the psi and slip time is changed a good bit

The '27' in 4F27E is the rating in ft.lbs. of torque. 27 is actually 270. I'd say you're asking for it with stock trans.

I have done 260TQ with a stock trans but thats as far as I have pushed a stock on , a Valve body and Tq converter isnt enough you need to address the clutches as well and a LSD
We could tune and see how far we can go with the stock , I can change the psi , shift psi and time to engauge clutches with in the tune and see what happens

Lentech is the way to go they did the trans that held 723 on my Focus
