Is it possible to swap out a 2.3lL 5 speed with a svt 6 speed?

Not without more work that it would be worth. Bellhousings are different so they won't even bolt up. Not to mention the gear ratios would be all mussed up leading to a poor driving experience, imo.

no... not worth it. find a used 2.3 and build it up if thats what ur looking

find a wrecked 2.5L 2010+ Fusion and steal the engine & trans. the 2010+ has a 6 speed manual.

Or can the bell housing of the getrag be switch or modified to fit the 2.3L block?

You could always have someone fab an adapter plate at the cost of taking up more space. I still don't think it would be worth it though because of the getrag gearing + the amount of work needed to get it done.

X2= not worth the time, plus the 23 has a lot more grunt than the SVT, hence you don't need it= the more split between the ratio's. You can't beat grunt! L'd put the money & work toward's upgrade's on the motor or do a torsen & a desent clutch
