My local Ford dealer doesn't stock clutch master cylinders. He says the aftermarket ones are re-boxed Ford parts, and that is what they use.
Does anyone know whether this is true, or has anyone experienced this issue? Thanks.

I'm not too sure about your question.... But its all plastic and in my opinion, it was made to fail... I have an autozone special clutch master in my car. Seems fine to me.

The answer, at least here in eastern Maine, is that both are made by LUK. So, I guess it is true.

Yeah, if you look the Autozone alternate part number it's a LUK. I wish I would've know that back when because I would've got it from there with the lifetime warranty.
