: Need help, Coolant line problem!

I recently bought another svt focus that was lightly hit in the front end. I just finished having all the repairs done but i am missing one part. My body shop guy told me it is a coolant line hose from the radiator overflow to the oil cooler then back to the radiator. He said he contacted ford but they do not make the part anymore. Does anyone know what hose this is and where i can purchase one from? Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Is this what you're talking about? I know that this hose is discontinued...

oil cooler to the plastic pipe on the radiator.

Can you get me an ID# off the hose, or better yet Ford OEM? I can probably find one for you. I can't find this in my parts illustrations. I only see 2 lines running from overflow to rad and 1 from overflow to thermostat housing. Bringing up the oil cooler it doen't show any lines. I'll keep digging on this end for a # though. Must have it hidden in here somewhere!

Well searching by description I can find the hose from cooler to overflow, but this system still won't give me a part#

*edit* Quirky little thing this parts system. Go back to an 02 model and I get a part# of 2M5Z 18472 BA and it says used until 12/31/03 Motorcraft # KH141 It does specify supply line, but seems to be the only one listed. Even my obsolete parts locator comes up with nothing :(

I think the OEM part for that hose is 2M5Z-18472-BA it's been discontinued. Maybe someplace has one laying around...

What I did was I got a Gates 19154 for the regular Zetec and cut it off at the heater core end. Then I got a 63111 Goodyear hose with 90* brass elbow fittings from Lowes and put it together.

OEM hose and my hose.

My friend saw it and said I could've used a "Gates Unicoil" (google image it) then I felt like a dumb ass. I couldve used the 19154 hose and some regular heater hose and bent it how I wanted

Google "KH141 hose" seems to be alot of places claiming to have them, or do as the guy above has done

I tried KH141 also it's the short part number to what I posted. Rockauto had the hose listed then they gave me a refund because they didnt have it. I doubt anyplace else actually has it.

What I did is about the only way, except if I did it again I would use the Unicoils.

Thanks for the help guys but the body shop explained it wrong, her is a picture i got to take of the hose missing. It connects to the hose cut off on the left and connects to the two cut off on the right. So essentially it is a single hose that splits into a Y shape and connects to the other two.

The hose you describe is the same hose used on SVT and Zetec, should be readily available. As for the discontinued one. I spliced out the bad section and added a connector to it to fix the hole I had.

The plastic distribution tube I'm guessing, you can still get those.

I have this hose in my trunk. Bought it because mine was leaking. Come to find out it was just the crappy factory clamp that was bad
