5TH FF PHOTO CONTEST - JAN 2012

THEME: A NEW BEGINNING



THIS MONTH'S THEME:
January is always a start of the new year and I feel since we are still new to the FF Photo contest this is still a beginning of new things to happen and photograph.
SO THIS MONTH - LET'S DO A "NEW BEGINNINGS" THEME.

What do I mean by NEW BEGINNINGS: I want to see what you ladies and gents can visual what a New Beginning. will be. It can a new born child, baby ducks, new project, first year of marriage, different kind of breakfast ... etc.

This is a different look of creativity, so see what you guys can come up with.

For the month of JAN. All submissions will be seized on JAN. 22ND and voting will begin soon after that.

Have fun photographing.

Here is how you to play:
For the first 3 weeks of the month ... post ONE PHOTO per member to be put into the voting process.

When the first 3 weeks are over ... I will create a new thread that will have all of the entries gathered and create a voting Poll.

On the last day(s) of the month ... the voting will be seized and photo-votes will be tallied and then a Winner's Gallery will emerge for each month's photo winner.

RULES:
1 - ONLY ONE PHOTO PER MEMBER PER MONTH (So yes, you can play every month)

2 - NO INAPPROPRIATE MATERIALS (Sex, Nudity or Discriminating PHOTOS are prohibited) ... Any violation to this rule will be disqualified for the month ...

3 - MULTIPLE OFFENSES TO RULE #2 WILL BE SUSPENDED

4 - NO CRITICIZING IN THIS FRIENDLY CONTEST. Just view the photos and vote for the one that catches your attention. Making a fair, unbiased yet fun game for everyone to join in.

5 - NO SLANDERING OR DOWN-TALKING ANYONE'S PHOTO IN THE CONTEST.

6 - ALL IMAGES MUST BE YOURS!!! NO COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL WILL BE TOLERATED IN THIS CONTEST.

7 - YOU CAN NOT RE-SUBMIT ANY WINNING PHOTOS. However you may re-submit photos that have not won in the past.

8 - ANY MODERATOR OF FF HAS THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY A PHOTO TO THEIR DISCRETION.

9 - PLEASE TRY TO KEEP ALL PHOTOS POSTED AT A MAXIMUM 1200 x 1200 RESOLUTION ... to keep the thread for taking to long to load.

10 - PHOTOS DON'T HAVE TO BE CAR RELATED. ALL SUBJECT MATTERS ARE WELCOME.

I like the theme this month. Hmmmm I think I have one in mind but might not be the best match for the theme.....

This is a pic of a figure on our mantle. My wife and I are newlyweds as of 10.29.11.

This was our first married Christmas in out first apartment together.

my lady and me felt kind of lonely in our apt...
so we decided to get some company in the begining of this new year...
her name is Bow-E she is 2 months old, yorkie mixed with spaniel...
we love her so much, we are glad we got her as company... :)

Her name is Penny. She's what I'd like to call a "beard biter". She'd be all sweet until she got up close to my face...then she'd chomp on my beard and tear as much of it out as possible. What a little demon! On this occasion she was being curious, so she poked her head in between the porch supports to see what I was up to. After this picture was taken, her head was stuck and it took her a few tries to break free :)

Wow all of these pictures are really really good! I love your picture 2011 SE. Your dog looks like it has a floating head! haha You cant see her body afer the collar.

i know this doesnt mean much to everyone else, but ive been busting my ass working for a family construction business running a 4 man crew when the boss isnt around (which has been for a while, he has a back problem) . I recently enrolled a community college and i am now going back to school for network management. My dream job is working with computers. This is my book that I will be using to take my Network+ Cert

Thinking there is no competing with those babies! haha. cute stuff.

Same here. I am going to take a break from this one I believe unless I think of something. These contests really make the months fly by though!

I'm in. Cal Poly has been building a new Rec Center for the last couple years and it's almost ready!

Gorgeous sunset.

Was thinking sunrise(which would make a great shot for this theme), but yeah, it really is gorgeous.


I'm not really having any luck with this theme, and I've been dragging my camera with me almost everywhere, just short of carrying it into the airport to pick up clients, lol. I'll keep trying, but there's always next month. Besides, there are some great shots and stories this time around.

He should just change the picture name lol. But who sees pink with sunrise?

Well that is true, sunrises usually produce more orange, and I could very well be wrong. It just feels like a sunrise to me, for some reason.

Lol pic name says sunset haha. So the start of a new year with the closing of another! See always a way to look at it ;)
