im at a loss where the coolant is coming from. ive replaced the thermostat housing with a zetec one, no freeze plug. ive replaced the thermostat itself. i replaced the hose going from the thermostat to the heater core due to a few small pinholes. the other hoses were fine. now i did not replace the o ring on the thermostat that goes to the block. could that o ring be bad? it is still leaking from the bottom of the housing so it could be tracking from there. im not sure, just noticed after over a month of no leaking, that it has started again...

Go to the Ford dealership. They will have the correct O-ring and it's not very expensive.

when i replaced my thermostat housing, i went overkill on cleaning the block where it mounted. Make sure there there isnt any debris that can keep you from having a good solid seal. Replace that o-ring as well.

Also, just as a fyi, my stock housing was actually warped slightly, not sure how it got like that, but when i placed it on a flat surface, i could rock it slightly. The contour housing i got was flat, and after prepping the mounting surface and cleaning everything thoroughly, i haven't had a single drip yet.

Contour t-stat housing ftw. Best option out there, hands down.
