First off, try ONE single thread. Then WAIT for responses. 3 threads in the same day will not help get you the information faster.

Second, Y9FMC, is that the licence plate? vin number? some obscure information number? Do cars in your country maintain the same licence plate number for more then one owner?

Did you do your research before purchasing? Normal things to look at are vehicle history. which would identify if ford was the previous owner. Carfax.com?

I have no idea what your talking about, but i highly doubt you bought a rally drivers car with out knowing it.

I think we got the number of threads under control.

Do you have a pic of the car? Is it a rally car or a street car you think was owned by the rally team?

It's a license plate. In the UK the plate number stays with the car its entire life.

Your are also incorrect, this is V9 FMC, not Y. It was for sale in 03 for well over half a mil.

hi firstly i was just enquring about the number plate because its just i got told it was something to do with ford rally also when i read the writing under this picture shown someone has wrote that the number plate was y9 fmc infact ill tell you what it said under the picture of the focus ralley car (now were talking that Mcrea car was y9fmc i have completed in y6fmc nice cars all of them i think the audi wins here , it had to have all sorts of aerodynamics just to keep it planted in the groundif not it would have flipped due to the power) go to talkceltic and then click the cracking car thread and have a look for yourself.
i bought a car with this reg on it of an old fella and it was him that said it came from the ford ralley so i just thaught id ask around to see if this was correct.
no need for people to get funny about it all iv done is ask for infomation about the reg plate!!!!
another thing iv just signed up to this site so about posting the thread 3 times i didnt realise until i saw them on myself SORRY!! my mistake!!!!!!!!

Don't worry about the multiple posts. It was a simple Rookie mistake and we see it all the time. By the way, Welcome. [welcome]

That said, I hate to get all critical about your posts but it is very hard to understand what you are saying without any punctuation, sentences, and complete thoughts. I don't want to come across as being rude but no one can answer a question if they don't know what it is.

So, is your car a rally car or a street car and in what way did the older gentleman say it was involved with Ford: as a daily driver for Colin or as an actually rally car? If it was involved with Ford racing, that would be pretty cool.
