I bought a 2003 Focus LX with the 2.0SPI engine. Relatively speaking, it's a "no-frills" Focus, but it was an especially good deal, and had just the features I really wanted (5 spd man trans, A/C, and CD player). It's silver in color, and I'm contemplating replacing the wheels (tires too if necessary) just for looks. IOW, I have no intention of ever converting it to any kind of performance machine. I'd just like to enhance the appearance. With that in mind, I'm thinking of white wheels, perhaps those of the 5/6 wide spoke variety. Any recommendations considering the use I plan to put these things to? No racing, just appearance, but of course, I'd like to feel confident they're not going to crack, or otherwise be "junk". What's the best deal out there for what I'm thinking of doing? Thanks very much.

well u c the RS comes with 18's standard! so i thought [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] it cram some 19's on it! there the only ones that i can find that are actually made 4 the RS.[bash]

go with some sort of 17" wheel, and I would definately go with some yokohama AVS ES 100s for the tire choice, thats what Im running

Stupid question here, but: Does/will the stock Focus LX accommodate 17" wheels with no modifications? It's got 14's on it from the factory. Thanks again.

Go to Discount Tire (http://www.tires.com) and enter your car info and it will only allow wheels and tires that fit your car's wheel welds.

I like the Kumho's myself. Great grip and price, though the Yokes are a great choice too. Wear is a little pooer on the Kumhos, but the Yokes on my 'Stang are holding up nicely.

Get a 17x7" (or 7.5") wheel, and put 215/45/17s (like the SVT) on there to keep a good sidewall. The side wall is important to handling too. There are more important considerations than fast trun-in feel like you get with those rubber band-width sidewalls. That is why SVT went with a 275/40/17 on the '03 Cobra, and a 295/45/18 on the Lightning (like I have).
