Hi guys. First time poster here.

I've been lurking the forum for a few weeks since I've been shopping for a new car.

I weighed the options, but the Focus really jumped out at me, and as soon as I test drove one, I was hooked.

So I bought one up over the weekend. Wasn't on the lot though. It was one en route to the dealership that had all the fix-ins I wanted in the color I wanted.

Wasn't too bad on the pricetag either. Ended up being near $25K after incentives for a Titanium with pretty much all the goodies.

I have to admit the technology in the car was what really grabbed me. I test drove a BMW 3 series for S&Gs and for $15K more than what I paid for the Focus, I wasn't getting near as much fun stuff...not even a little.

Now I just sit and wait the long days until I get that phone call from the dealer to tell me it's ready. [giddy]

I'm the same way when waiting on new parts for my ST. Enjoy the new ride when you get it.

I'm at week 10 of waiting... and it's off the train and 50 miles South of my dealer with the truck shipping company as of 5 days ago... getting a little antsy myself.

How do you check the status of your vehicle? There doesn't seem to be like some sort of tracking Web site for things like that (although, you'd think there would be) for regular customers. Short of calling the dealer, how does one go about tracking the vehicle delivery?

I'm the same way when it comes to finding out about the 2012 ST. And there's still the question on whether or not I'll be able to get it, or how long it will take to arrive after it's ordered.

Ordered mine Aug 2, Window Sticker says build date completion of August 30.

Being built in Michigan, I live in Ontario Canada, dealer tells me mid sept. So looks like a 4-6 week wait.

Not too shabby Ford, not too shabby.

Man that sucks. I hate waiting...started when I was a kid waiting for christmas to get here lol. Hope you enjoy it. I want a ST so badly
