but, for the life of me, I cannot find a way to get the spare wheel/ tire and jack to sit so that the cover sits flush. I've tried all sorts of configurations. What makes the most sense to me, that the jack goes under the wheel, doesn't work since the jack is just a bit too large to fit within the rim of the wheel.
Hopefully someone here will be able to tell me what should be obvious to me.

You have to have the jack open somewhat in order to get it to fir with in the diameter of the wheel. That how it works in my ZX5.

Like said above the jack needs to be cranked up then it fits in the rim under the spare tire.It took me a few trys to figure it out.

I think in the "How-to-archive" there is a how to install the jack.
Ive even seen a few people use grease pens and outline the jack once they got it in and fit how they like it. Use a white grease pen and just run around the jack.
Ide rather use a little bottle jack. I havnt bought one yet but ide think one would fit inside the tire and work alot better then that stock sissor thing.
