Ok im interested but i need a little help. Im curious on what i can do with this and how i go about doing any type of setting changes. Right now my cars stock besides a short ram intake and a borla exhaust, so i dont really need it, but come this spring ill prolly have toms stg 1 turbo. What can i tune and how do i do it, do i need a labtop or what other tools will i need for tuning. Also could i go with the v tech one just incase i switch to a honda later on, giving that i have a zx3 now. Thank you for your time.

Piggyback Fuel Computer


Modifies air-flow meter signal (pressure signal in some vehicles) to optimize fuel-air ratio; Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD).


The second-generation S-AFC is a fuel computer that adjusts fuel/air ratio by modifying the air-flow meter/MAP sensor signal. The S-AFC features a user-definable, eight-point, adjustable fuel curve that can be set in 500 RPM increments. The range of fuel adjustment is +/- 50% at each of the user-defined setting points. On hot-wire vehicles, the Deceleration Air Flow Correction function is capable of curing the erratic idle and stall problems associated with open-atmosphere blow-off valves on hot-wire air-flow meter systems. The S-AFC is capable of monitoring and replaying the following data channels in Numerical, Analog Meter and Graph displays: Intake Manifold Vacuum/Boost Pressure, Air Flow Capacity, Intake Manifold Pressure, Karmann Frequency, Engine RPM, Throttle Position, and Air Flow Correction %.

Due to the complexity of this product, A'PEX recommends having the S-AFC and other A'PEX electronics installed and tuned by authorized A'PEX Power Excel Shops.

A'PEX introduces the first digital fuel computer that combines fuel computer functions with a VTEC engagement controller. The V-AFC features a user-definable, eight-point, adjustable fuel curve that can be set in 500 RPM increments. The range of fuel adjustment is +/- 50% at each of the user-defined setting points. The Fuel Adjustment function considers wide/narrow throttle and low/high camshaft settings, from which four different fuel maps are created (wide-low, wide-high, narrow-low, narrow-high). The integrated VTEC Controller adjusts the point at which the engine switches from the Lo to Hi cam during acceleration, as well as when the engine switches from the Hi to Lo cam during deceleration.

Due to the complexity of this product, A'PEX recommends having the V-AFC and other A'PEX electronics installed and tuned by authorized A'PEX Power Excel Shops.

um yes it will, the vafc will too but the vtec settings won't function on it. its basically the same as installing air/fuel guages. my name is on the list but it would be goin in my friends v6 mazda mx-6

btw: justin i am watchin nopi tunervision on speed and they showed your eclipse a few times before the commercials. looks nice!

i hate to kill a sponsor thread, but Kickns right, it wont work for the focus as it should, however if you really want to know more start another thread, this aint the place.......

I can't beleive I missed my car on there. I saw that it was on, but about half way through. ERRRRR. I will have to look in the guide and find it on again, I would like to see my car on there.

As for the Apexi AFC, I don't have any info for it working on the Focus or not. I saw someone else sold them on here before so I posted it here also.

Most places you see that sell it are they places that will list the "universal" parts along with the focus parts. ie, bov's, boost controllers, and the afc. Our Ecu will go right around it.
