After tinting my windows 20% rear and 35% front I wish to see well when backing up in a dark place. I have added a back up camera with 7 inch screen. The stock bulbs in the 08 Focus work OK, but I wondered if there were any after market bulbs with a brighter white light that would work in the stock housings. Ford uses cheep bulbs and wiring throughout the car so going to a higher wattage with stock wiring doesn't seem smart. I do not wish to modify the wiring in any way so I am looking for a better preforming bulb for the stock housing. I am considering putting in a set of SYLVANIA SILVERSTAR BRIGHT BACK UP AUXILIARY BULBS. Has anyone here ever tried these type of bulbs and are they more brighter than the stock Ford back up bulbs? I looked at the LEDs but I was not impressed with their performance. THANKS for your opinions!

If you just want reverse lights then def go with the silver star ultras. They work very well. If you want better front lights then just get a HID kit. You can pick them up for about 35 without shipping if you only go with low beam.
