THE V8 Supercars Championship will make its debut on United States soil in 2013.
An announcement was made early today (Australian time) outlining a five-year deal for Australia’s premier racing series to compete at the new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
Just saw this on v8supercar facebook

Go Holden! .... ohwait... ford forum :p
I was in Australia for the first time in April. I really enjoyed it there (as if my screen name didn't give that away lol).. I had a rental Commodore SV6 (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Neouka/Australia/commodore.jpg) for 3 weeks, awesome highway car... but damn, your lanes and parking spots are narrow!
Can't wait to see the Commodores and Falcons battle it out on North American soil!

I love V8 Supercar. They blow Nascar way out of the water. Now they just have to build the track.

Yeah, saw this on Autoblog or Jalopnik the other day. I'm a little surprised the series is willing to go through all the logistics of getting teams and cars over here for one race, but I'm not complaining. Now if they'd just bring it up to Road America in WI, I would definitely find a way to get to that.

Damnit!! Misleading title. I thought Aussie V8's were going to be SOLD in the United States. But I guess championship racing will help increase exposure and create a higher demand for these in America. Maybe then they'll listen...

I wouldn't count on seeing a Holden in your local Chevy dealer any time soon, mmmoose.
