i curently have a 2006 zx4 ses with the 2.0 duratec engine with a 5 speed manual tranny. i was wondering if there was anyone who might know if the 2.0 or 2.3 zetec will work for just a straight swap and mount up to everything ok. and last thing which would be the better of the two to swap to the 2.0 or 2.3 zetec? thanks for any info.

the zetec will mount in, but you will need to change ALOT of stuff, like the tuning, the ECU, the trans, axles, etc. and they only made the zetec in a 2.0, the duratec came in a 2.0 and 2.3. if you have an 06, you have a duratec

easy now i was actually joking. the better engine would be a SVT zetec or ST duratec. you really should just stick with the engine you have unless you blow it up

Its true

You would want to swap the 2.3 BLOCK and use the 2.0 head.

I would just swap in a 05-07 ST 2.3 and be done with.
