Ha, there are a few progression photos in that thread (he eventually replaces the PVC w/ alum, stitches the hood back up, and dumps the WG properly) and there are sooooo many retarded people out in the world that I'm let to thinking this is 100% believable.

I'm just looking at it from a DSM guy posting a Cavalier on a F-Body forum, none of which seems right to me. Why's a DSM guy on a F-Body forum? Who gives a rats ass what some kid with a Cavalier is doing?
But I guess it isn't much different than what most all specific type forums have become.

Not to mention all the information is 3rd hand (far as we know). So there's nothing saying everything in the initial pic's isn't simply for mock up purposes ... I didn't read any further because I don't care.

Also I'm not one to oust the seemingly poor or back yard mechanic. Just because it ain't pretty don't mean it won't work well. Granted i wouldn't do it that way, except for mock up, but that's not to say it won't work for a short time.
And really there's a ton of things I could pick out that I've seen in the Focus world over the years that are just as sketchy.

I'd bet money it's real. I remember seeing a short mention of that car on Jalopnik a few weeks back. We all know there are people out there who would do this fully knowing the probability of catastrophic failure, shit it's just a clap-trap cavalier, the guy probably means to blow it up. More power to him. Do you guys expect him to sink 6 thousand dollars worth of proper turbo setup into a dying cavalier? He's just helping it go out with a bang.

I would pay money to see a video of that thing drag-racing another car... because you know it would likely end in catastrophic engine failure. He should build a small box next to the turbo for cooking eggs and bacon and stuff.
