Hello I was just wondering if any one could help me...

On startup my focus 2.0 ghia's instrument needles goes all the way as if to prove there working im just wondering if anybody else's car does this as I haven't seen any of the lower models do it but I haven't seen another version of my car.

Also I was wondering if anyone could help me. My fourth fan on my air con doesn't work it just turns the air circulation on inside the car

Any help would be appreciated thank you

First off, [welcome]

As far as the needles go, that is normal on some cars. I believe it is a way of calibrating them or something. Very common in early 2000 GM cars and the new American cars do it.

Which fan do you mean by 4th fan? Do you mean the highest setting? And Air conditioning is supposed to just recirculate the air inside the car, rather than constantly cooling the outside (warmer) air. My car has the option of using outside or recirculated air, and I don't see a point to it -- I just turn it to recirculated air.

I believe for the needles it is a self-test much like all the panel lights coming on when the car initially is switched to the ON position.

Yeah I mean the highest setting it just won't work it just cuts out. And ok I was just a bit worried as other lower range focus's doesn't do this

Check into your "blower motor resistor" for the fan issue. That's what we call them here.

But surely the resistor would stop all the fans not just one?
