I was doing some research on pullies and came across a 50% race pully from I think it was FC. I was wondering how much of a difference is there between the 25% and the 50% pullies? Also what is the life of these aftermaarket pullies? I am wondering what would be the affects on my altenator and the rest of the accessories that the pully drives, and are they worth the price $125-$150?[?]

i would think that all depends on how much city driving you do and if you have any ICE or not. The car might overheat in stop and go driving and kill your battery if you have a lot of ICE

Most likely the UDP you are looking at is made by Black Diamond Racing. Go to their website and you'll save a few bucks. I run an AEM ZETEC alt. UDP. The shaft diameter is the same so you can install it in our SPI's. I also run the BDR UDP on the crank. I haven't had any problems in two years. Go for it!

the zetech alt fits fine? did you have to do any modifications?

The only ICE I have is a 760 watt system(not much) waterboy you have a zetec alt, how is it different from ours, and are the pullies like a "bolt on" product, just remove stock and replace with new pullies or is there more involved? Thanks.

I guess I wasn't very clear. I have the AEM alt. UDP for the ZETEC. The shaft diameters are the same so you can use the AEM alt. UDP on our SPI's. The alternator itself is quite different.

The UDP from the zetec is the same just the alt. itself is very different. Is there any performance difference between the SPI UDP's and the Zetec UDP's?

No, because it's the SAME pulley.

That odd, it's an interchangable part but yet the manufacture sells it as if it is a completly different product for the two engines. Thnaks for the help waterboy.
