Hi guys. Im new to the forum, my name is Spencer. Nice to meet ya! Has any one seen or tried to get anything with tuning a 2012 N/A 2.0 Focus engine? its also has an automatic transmission. I was hopping to do something soon. Any info would be great. I called a local shop, they said they had no software available to tune it as far as ford goes they can only go back as far as 2008. Any info would be awesome. Thank you

It may be a few months before the programming comes out, since the car is still brand new. Be patient.

Haha yea I figured I was gonna get that answer... I wonder how much after market suport the regular focus is gonna have because of the st coming out... kinda worrys me because I already bought the se focus and can't afford to trade in my car later this year...

Just picked up a Sterling Grey 2012 S with a 5 spd Tuesday evening. I wrote Steeda to see when I might expect some performance parts to start showing up for the '12s. I haven't gotten a response yet.

It'll probably be a little bit before aftermarket parts start hitting the shelves. Just for future reference, only one "n" in tuning. :)

Yea I'm trying to contact ford performance to see if there is any plan for a supercharger or something! Lol I'm kinda hoping for a supercharger to show up. Hopefully through ford so I can keep my waranty. I did a lil exhaust work to mine already. Deep toned engine I love it! I got the 5 door with the 6 speed power shift. Btw I think it has launch control... I've been meaning to start a thread on it.

I also wrote to CFM & FSWerks about '12 parts like cold air, catbacks, suspension & body bracing. Just something to jump it up a little above stock. Glad to here the exhaust sounds good when it's worked on, mines so quiet I can hardly hear it! I'm not sure what the launch control is.

Pretty much when you take off in your automatic it takes off like your letting off the clutch well if you hold your foot on the brake and put the gas to the floor it bounces at 2700 rpm and when you take your foot off the brake it launches. And does it well.... I was kinda messing around with it the other day.

The launch control sounds very cool, I hadn't even heard of it.

Yea it bounces at 2700 and it launches well too! Um all I did was remove the muffler and put a nice looking tip on it ( not a muffler a chrome tip)

The launch control sure beats power braking! Are you running without a muffler? If you are, the car runs well and isn't to loud?
I got this response from Steeda Autosports today about their performance parts; "It will probably be a while. This Focus is a whole new platform and although we had Ford CAD data for it parts really need to be test fit and tested before they are released, and since there are not too many around yet this will take time. GoFast",
and this response from FSWerks; "Prototypes have been made already. Production will be a bit, as we need to wait for more cars to get out into the market place. We'll have our exhaust, intake, stress bars..."

I did this as well just to see how it sounds and I agree. It sounds amazing, almost like a Subaru. I just chopped off the last muffler and cleaned up the cut, didnt put a tip on so you dont see the exhaust at all. Might make a duel later on.

Any sound clips of how this sounds? I love how subu's sound, so this is great news!

so I just picked up my 2012 focus SE and am trying to make it more me. I love subies and would like to "rally" the car out like Ken Bloc... Id like a deep sound to the car any suggestions that are cheap and easy to do myseld, and any other suggestions to aftermarket parts to make it more of a racing style vehicle?

Gotta love Chinese spam. Now that I live in China I see this kind of thing all of the time. Even their location says Hong Kong...

If you do try to search for this company virtually every site is a Chinese "made to look like English" site.

This is a knock off of some of the tools sold on tuningtools.co.uk. I believe it is the CMD the above is a copy of. The legit tools are very expensive.
