Ive been running a tune Tom sent me for about 3-4 days now and he left some setting open that i can play with.

The car runs alot better but i notice the shift points seem to change right when the car just seems to start to pull or pickup.

What would i change if i wanted the tranny to hold out say another 500 rpms in say first or second?

I must say i had my doubts about this tunning thing at first but ill admit now im glad i got one as my second upgrade. It really is a pretty neat thing to have.

You would want to change the shift points "WOT Shift Point" do them a little at a time and you can also firm up the shift with the shift psi

Cool, i thought about asking you in an e-mail but didnt want to bug you with little questions i figured i could find around here. I was curious to see what changes others have made also.

Thanks!

Would firming up shifts hurt the trans at all? I just ask cause I know they are made to shift softly.

I soft shift is for stock and so you dont feel the shift , with mods and running it hard all the time you need to firm up the shifts this keeps the clutches from slipping as much and keeps the trans safer

Juts start at about 10% for each gear on the trans psi and see how it feels and drives then if you like more do 15% and so on

well i wonder about different driving conditions also. Say you live in an area where the roads are always slick and icy. A really hard shift might not be the best thing for Inexperienced drivers.

I think for what we want its better to have it shift a little harder since we are wanting better performance anyway are most of use know the car well enough.

What are others running? Im not racing or anything but i messed with these on one of the past tunes and it got quicker. I just went one step up on the MPH and the shift pressure but im wondering what others are doing?

Anyone care to post where they have theirs?

My mods are just the 3 typical ones (CAI, header, tune)

Each person needs to change the shift psi and rpm to there liking some like it to chirp the tires and some dont want it changed at all , its a to each there own thing
