So after finding out it's going to cost $2k+ to get my gti to pass emissions/inspection I have decided to expedite my car purchase, placing the GLI and Titanium focus out of my pricerange. I am accordingly pricing out SELs and seeing what is coming into inventory at local dealerships (Thanks Dave).
At any rate, one of the vehicles I came across had the 301A option package which includes MyFord Touch and Sony 10-spk audio system, yet it does not include the navigation programming. Frustrated, I called Ford and found out that you CANNOT upgrade to navigation with a software upgrade. So navigation from the factory or BUST. [bigcry]
That said, if you use sync services, you can get turn-by-turn verbal directions if you plan your trip ahead of time. Still a good feature, I suppose, for those of us who find ourselves without the lovely telenav system.
