These guys built a rediculious motor. Figured you should see it cause its fords 16v four cylinder motor. I found this really cool check it out.
Notorious0ne 01-13-2011, 03:39 PM They one in the picture is there evo motor.
Djzx3 01-13-2011, 04:08 PM Wow did that say he CNC machined that block himself? If so there was atleast 2 years of planning and hard thinking here.
Notorious0ne 01-13-2011, 04:53 PM Yeah and did you see those numbers he was pushing!
save_HUTCH 01-13-2011, 05:06 PM Wow imagine what they could do with a Duratec motor.
Djzx3 01-13-2011, 05:08 PM O yea, maybe I should be a CNC machines? I would like to know what metal he used, cause you can use a more expensive metal and make the motor invincible. My dad has used metal that goes onto space crafts before, My pops has his name carved into a bracket on mars.
Notorious0ne 01-13-2011, 05:40 PM Thats really badass. and its gonna be there forever too!
tb1999 01-13-2011, 05:43 PM They one in the picture is there evo motor.
Yeah, they just have a few pics of the installed engine on the Cossie Escort, but over 1300whp from a Zetec is crazy. [goofydrunk]
J-Town_2006ZX3 01-13-2011, 06:15 PM Holy God, machined their own block? The size of that turbo is nuts!
Djzx3 01-13-2011, 06:18 PM That run on the Dyon sheet said...., well in his words "only 44 psi". So he is proble coming right around a max of 50 psi maybe 55 psi. I couldn't imagine more then that.
norcalfocus01 01-13-2011, 06:51 PM Moved to Ford Focus and General Car Chat.
Notorious0ne 01-13-2011, 09:37 PM theres alot of time into that things but man does it perform!
blackoutSVT 01-13-2011, 09:41 PM i want a 100psi turbo..lmao.. i saw this about a month ago and dam near gizzed my self..lol that company is sick. 3k per connecting rod. lol dam... oh and it trips me out with the size of the clutch..
tb1999 01-13-2011, 09:45 PM What's even more amazing is that they are based in athens, greece.
I thought the economy totally collapsed there this year?
I guess the Greek mob is into turbocharged touring cars.....
blackoutSVT 01-13-2011, 09:51 PM the sad part is it is a dyno queen. they don't have races like we do here.. seams like a build for shock factor more then anything.. id still fap to it...lol
sailor 01-13-2011, 10:02 PM Posted via FF MobileSounds like a drag racing 4 cyl. build I remember seeing a while ago.... Top Fuel type 4 banger....
NdShocker21 01-14-2011, 06:20 AM Dear god.... that turbo is the size of a small child!
alex62390 01-14-2011, 07:54 AM That thing is amazing. Who is going to build a 2000 hp Focus?
horsePOOGAS 01-14-2011, 11:38 AM Someone explain to me how/why the clutch is so small?? it's crazy.

Not really, do a search for the "Ivan Project" on this site, Alex is from Greece too. That can pushed over 500 hp on a dyno. It had a lot of one-off parts on it. No matter how bad the economy is in any place, there are always people who are unaffected.
Djzx3 01-14-2011, 02:03 PM O yea his car is sick, and I think he said before his new head, he hit 500HP on the stock head before he changed it out?
tb1999 01-14-2011, 03:30 PM Someone explain to me how/why the clutch is so small?? it's crazy.
It's a multiplate clutch similar to what you might see inside and auto trans, but dry clutch plates instead of wet.
The benefits are twofold.
one, by stacking multiple plates you increase surface area, providing a total greater than a single plate clutch of larger diameter.
two, since this has a very small diameter, it spins up faster/consumes less power because you are not spinning larger discs that actually cover a longer distance in a single RPM, just like changing tire sizes changes your net final drive ratio.
Consider this:
The outer edges of a 10" clutch will attain a speed of 223 MPH @ 7500 RPM
the outer edges of a 5" multiplate clutch will only attain a speed of 111 MPH @ 7500 RPM
This motor is built to rev to 12,000 RPM, so that would be 356 & 178 MPH respectively.....
Djzx3 01-14-2011, 03:34 PM So in simple form^, it's going to take off the line like a rocket. As long as it has good tire's.

I would not say that the clutch is going to make such a big difference, but when you are building to such an extreme, you use every trick in the book.
I doubt you could use any single plate clutch to hold that much HP/Tq, unless you have a left leg the size of King Kong's.
A dual disc clutch would probably get the job done, but they just went to the most exotic thing available.
That clutch was probably alot less expensive than the billet block or titanuim crank. LOL
jetrinka 01-14-2011, 09:46 PM lol just when you thought 4 wheels for traction was going to be enough...
