Well, for anyone who is interested here are my results thus far:

1st tank-- 24mpg

2nd tank-- ~25mpg

I am still driving a little more agressively than necessary so I'm sure thats whats still cutting my mileage. I was getting ~27mpg on midgrade.

There you have it and there you are!!

I just drove 700 miles on two taks. Went to western Michigan to get a block and some other goodies. Mileage is MUCH better with the chip.

is 27mpg average? cuz from what i heard we should be getting 38. and mine doesnt.

I thats true, I got some seroius problems with my car. What kind of mileage are you getting sohcrev? I'm guessing that waterboy got about about 31-32 mpg on his trip. I think I need to do some more checking on my car.

I just put my FS plugwires and autolite plats in over the weekend. We'll see what if any difference that makes other than with the idle. Plug # 1 looked pretty bad compared to the others, really schorched. ???

your plugs might effect your gas milage. keep on eye on your gas milage, it might improve slightly with the new plugs

since one plug seems to be worse then the others, you might want to keep your eye on it and check it out every so often. just to see if its a fluke or a problem.

I have an SCT and Zetec and I get an average mpg of at least 32+

hmmm...well, I've never gotten better than 27mpg, and that was before the chip. It isn't looking much better with the new plugs and wires either. Looks like I'm gonna have to pull the chip out and get in to see a doctor. I haven't even had it 6 months yet. I guess thats what warranties are for, huh?

yeah, if you have a warranty, make sure you use it. they are wonderful things.

tell them about the apparent differance between plug #1 and the rest. if you can bring the plugs in to show them, maybe that will help.

I talked to the dealership yesterday and my salesman(I've know him for 12+ years & we goto the same church) said that the Foci usually get anywhere from high 20's to the low 30's. He told me to reset the computer again and see what happens. I have to fill-up this AM & I believe my mileage has increased again, so maybe its not as bad as I thought. I think I just went crazy with power, ya know!!!
