I stopped by the local Ford Dealership to look at the new 2011 Explorer.
I didn't like the exterior styling, but liked the interior.
I looked underneath at the front suspension and it reminded me of a Focus on Steroids! Huge aluminum lower control are that was shaped just like the one on the Focus. It even had the same type of sway bar end links that bolted to the strut and sway bar.
Not real heavy-duty for off-road use.
I know it is based on the Taurus chasssis, but was just shocked a little bit how it was built.
