: Rolled 87xxx miles on my 08 yesterday...

Hey guys, wanted to share the news. I can't believe it but I've rolled over 87xxx miles on my Focus. Anyone else near this number in the newer cars? I bought the car brand new in March of 08 and have not had a single problem with it at all. Still has the factory brakes on it. Still as tight as it was when I bought it. How are your cars holding up?

My 09 bought in October 2008 is heading to 38000mi >_>
So far I had to replace my front swaybar endlinks because they were making a funny noise, one squeaky drivers seat fixed, and warrantied one transmission shifter solenoid that slipped like twice.
Those problems were around the ~18-20k area though. Most recently I replaced the factory wiper blades

I've just done routine maintenance on it. Oil changes every 5000 miles, fuel filters, air filters, windshield wipers, serviced the transmission at 60000. I bought the third set of tires for it a few months ago. Best car I've ever owned.

I bought mine new in feb 08, but I only have 28k on it though. At the pace I'm going, and its slowed A LOT since I took it from the wife, I'll hit 87K in just about 7 years.

i have 56,108 on my 08 that was purchased 11/19/2008 and haven't had a single problem! so far all it needs is a new coil pack and thats it! just hit ~50-60% brake pad life remaining, the rotors are in excellent shape and the tires that have been on it since 38,000 miles are barely worn. no mechanical faults, no squeaks, no rattles, no nothing :)

^ lol, Just about. I drive a 60 mile round trip to work everyday and it's been to several states more than once. I'm starting to get some miles on it so I think it's time to start playin with it a little bit more. My 87 Mustang usually takes up all my free time. Heading up to Chicago on Wednesday to pick up my 347 stroker with some "goodies" for that:) Going to be putting in a couple of sub woofers in the Focus at the end of the week:)

2010 Ford Focus Purchased 12/2009 and i have 53333 miles.
Still great fuel economy, 1st set of tires done about 8k ago. Only problem since new was a wheel bearing on the rear passanger at around 3k. The other problem like front drivers wheel bearing, axle were the result of an accident when someone backed into me.
Changed the oil every 5000-7500mi and it doesn't burn a a drop.
Once the 2012's come out and come down in price I'm getting an SEL.

I have about 30K on my 09...haven't had a problem. LOVE this car!!!!!
And if you sent your stock cams to Crower they will do a custom grind for you. Just got a call about them haven't had to call to see how it costs to do.
I"ve got about 50k on my 09. bought in oct 08 with 11 miles on it. Had to replace the rear shocks a little over a month ago, but it is lowered so that doesn't suprise me. Been a great car with no problems (knock on wood). would have more miles on it, but we take my wifes escape around quite a bit and I also picked up a 95 bronco in oct that I will drive in the winter (put about 3k on it so far, mostly taking it to work to get things fixed up).

I've got 46,000 miles on my '08, purchased 6/18/2008. I've actually had a few things to do on mine, had new tires, new front sway bar end links and a new water pump at 35k. Right now I've got an annoying rattle behind the radio, a new loud clunk in the front drivers wheel well (I think sway bar end links again) and I think my motor mounts are going (loud clunk when I start the car). I live on a dirt road, so it's not too surprising to have some suspension issues, but two sets of end links under 10k is strange.
Other than these issues, it has been a great car. Great gas mileage too.
