Sounds like you linkage came off somewhere. Happens a lot, especially when tranny work is done. If you know where the linkages are, check them, if not just head to the dealer, itll be a quick fix if it is the linkage.

but if its the linkage could it only happen to 5th and 6th gear?

i just had this problem about a week ago, there are actually 2 sifter linkage cables, the one works 1-4 and the other just 5and 6. they had to order the part for me, but intill the part got there they just zip tied the linkage together and i went easy on it and it lasted long enought for them to put the new one in...about 4 days. it took them like 6 hours to install, but thats probably just becasue they were not a svt certified dealer, and they had never worked on an svt focus before

Warranty does wonder's, take it back to Ford and by all means let them deal with it. That's my suggestion...[;)]

You took your SVTF to a non-SVT dealer?!?! Wow, you're far braver than me.

Definately bring it back to the dealer and get them to fix it.

How come u didn't let the dealer know then and there? everytime i got my car back from the dealer i drove it around the lot to make sure everythings fine. I remember when i got my clutch put back in and it was still making that noise i went back inside and complained to the service manager who took the car back to fix the noise. Anyways just take it back to the dealer good luck

well my clutch was installed by an outside tranny shop, but i had the car towed to ford and they fixed it in 20 minutes. now the car is sold and i don't have to worry about the car again. Sorry guys decided to go with and srt-4, that came from the dealer with STS, stage 2 computer and turbo, borla turbo back, intercooler sprayer, and some bad ass enkei's. All is covered under warranty and the car costed me 28000. Peace.
