They don't work, they never have. Do you honestly think that something that CHEAP is going to give you any gains like that. If it did, we would all have one of those along with all the other ebay promises like $10USD for 25WHP from a lighter plug in chip to the intake air control tornado thing.

Most people call it NOS due to they were on of the most common brands in the beginning. Like a cresent wrench. Cresent is a tool company thatstarted wth the adjustable wrench. But N.O.S. stands for Nitrious Oxide System. Hense the reasoning for calling it NOS.

Thing is like I was trying to say, things that CHEAP that declare they will give you this performance upgrade, and that much power, etc are probably just selling gimmicks. I have yet to have experience or read about one of these 'ebay' products actually doing anything close to what they actually state they can do if they actually work at all.

Putting something like this to use on a brand new car is not a very smart idea. Like I said, FORD ain't going to cover the $3000+ fee for a new engine when the find that setup under the hood, hope you got big pockets..... probably not cause if you did, you would be buying the REAL thing.....

I'm not trying to harp on you man, just the products. Ebay is renouned for copycatting products that companies have R&D'd and put time in to the developing. Then along comes some guy who remakes the product as cheaply as possible in hopes to make some cash on suckering in someone to buying it.

You don't think the techs will have ways to figure out what the hell actually happenned to your engine? That is one expensive risk but hey, it's your car. (of course there is no for sure that anything good or bad will happen anyway....)

and if something does happen, it's people like you that cause the automotive prices to stay high fixing warranty issues that have NOTHING to do with warranty.

If you had been here long.. you would know I am one of the most patient people with mods on the board, I am also very patient with new folks asking questions.. That is one of the main reasons I am a mod on the sight.

I am not trying to rip you a new one or gang up on you with other members of the sight.

What I had a huge problem with ( to clarify ) was your willingness to blow your engine, take off the nitrous stuff and jam it back on Ford with no remorse.. That is wrong and I was questioning your motives.

As far as the nitrous kit goes.. I install them as part of my Job as owner of a speed shop. I have installed several on bikes and on cars, I consider myself fairly knowledable on the subject. As many have said, nitrous kits are not cheap and the cheap ones donot work, there is really no other way to put it...Nitrous is VERY reliable and safe if used and installed properly.........properly being the big word...

We aren't looking for a fight, just trying to give you the answers you were looking for. Hang around be friendly and you will find we are a nice place.

I was making a point that anyone that really was into modding their car, a person that has alot of experience with the aftermarket world would know better then to put something like this on their car. I wasn't saying your not 'experienced' or 'knowledgeful' but in saying that, if you did know a bit more about this, you would know not to put this on your car, which it seems that you did how you said in your clarified question about if someone actually tried one of these.

Nobody is being childish, like EuroZX3 said, just cause you are getting replies against what you 'thought' doesn't call them childish. The first post I did was more of a joke cause that is exactly what this 'product if you can call it that' is. There has been alot of threads about this before, the one revamp posted being the best, so when you hear someone talking about this again, it brings back all the 'rolling of the eyes' type of memories on it.

REAL n2o kits are expensive because they are good quality, you dont want to be half-a$$ when it comes to dangerous stuff like that, its important to have a good quality kit with good hoses and have it professionally installed, unless you really know what you're doing, you could install yourself, but point is there are some things you can be cheap on like intakes, etc but dude when you're talking about oxidizers and the possibility of damaging your engine, causing a fire, or blowing yourself up is $40 really worth your life or your car? Thats why you're getting crap from everyone on this one. You're asking if people have tried it and getting all upset but the deal is nobody is foolish enough to take the risk on something that half-a$$ when it comes to something that serious.

I don't know about the ebay dealy-o, but yes, they have those...its a single cartridge that is loaded with nos, about the size of one to runa paintball gun.....it is trigger injected meaning when you let lose of the trigger, it stops injecting....

it is then ran by a little hose to your airintake behind the maf..............

I only know this cause this kid in my car club has one of those, and i was like, WTF? he has it ona lumina, and that thing flies!

So yes, they have 'em, but i do not know about the ebay ones.

There is no deneying that injecting raw nitrous into your intake will burn some more fuel and thus make some more power, but those little " whippetts" don't hold enough nitrous to do much, and it is very unregulated, so it is leaning the car out to make power.....which is not safe... It is not that its from ebay it is just junk

its been a few since i put it on my trike first i routed it to the airbox little gains then i redid it put it at end of carb throat much more power but after 10 cans it has started smoking oh well 20-50 it is at least the three wheeler was free so not out but $50 {for kit] and had some fun so all in all i was pleased still scared to put on my car though.....

i dont think a cheap nitrous kit exists lol if you want to have all the bells and whistles to make it safe.

you can get a efi stage 1 kit from nitrous express for about 800cdn witch is pretty cheap but filling those bottle isnt. By the time you get the kit and fill that bottle up more and more it would be cheaper to have done turbo lol
