Does anyone know what/if there is a PID to datalog fuel pressure in livelink 6.0? I looked through the PID list and couldn't find anything. The reason why I am doing this is to set up my fuel pressure switch properly for my NOS kit. I figure I can do a datalog up to WOT and log my fuel pressure that way.

there should be 2, look under fuel it should be at the bottom and says fuel rail pressure in psi or something like that. thats the one i use

I answered this at some point here....don't remember where right now.
You cannot log fuel pressure (pressure drop across fuel injectors on most vehicles) on the 08+ focus; they have a mechanical returnless fuel system. There is no fuel rail pressure sensor as there is a regulator in the fuel tank.
There should be a way to log it somehow but even using Ford's IDS system you cannot log it.

Nuts, I'm trying to think if there are a couple PIDs you can log and then use them to calculate the fuel pressure over time. What I really am looking for is fuel psi @ WOT.

If I were to use the AEM fuel pressure gauge could I datalog that way? There is an analog wire on the gauge similar to the AEM wideband. Would this work/has been tried with the xcal3?? Also what equation would I enter to the analog input in Livelink 6.0? Or would I have to log voltage only, plot it in excel over time then use the slope of that line to convert into pressure (i.e. y=mx+b)

If this gauge has an analog output yes you can use it just like any other analog device. However, I do not know what the equation would need to be. Keep in mind though, it may not be linear.

I found this in the AEM forum:

Look at the ALL_Pressure_Sensor_MAP....pdf
There is a table which gives you psi at a certain voltage using a specific pressure sensor. I would like to get the gauge with the 0-100PSI sensor. Using that column and from what I found on the AEM forum I can enter the following equation into Livelink:
analog channel = (v*250-12.5)
I entered some voltages using the equation and they correspond o the pressures in the table. Am I headed in the right direction?

What voltage range is the output in? Our device is only going to support a 0-5v range.

the sensor has a range of 0-5V

the sensor has a range of 0-5V
Then yes, it should work.

yeah I think I'm going to give it a try if I can't get it to log properly at least I will be able to monitor my fuel pressure while spraying. Once I get it installed and logging I will post some plots.
