Not long ago I replaced my front swaybar bushings with prothane, had new end links placed and prothane inserts in the lower motor mount. Things were going swell until I washed the engine compartment with degreaser. After that I began to hear this creaking sound from the left front area. Noted usually when taking off from a stop and when coming to a stop. The car handles fine. I finally took it into the shop that installed the parts and they said it was the mount for the left front strut. They replaced it and now a few hundred miles later it is doing it again. I cannot reproduce the sound while parked only when pulling from a stop and occasionally when going over a speed bump. Anyone have any ideas? Did I wash lube out of something?

If you could do a video of what your talking about then maybe someone can help more. Maybe someone can help just by what u described.

I've had this same sound for some time now. I've decided it's either the front strut mount, or struts altogether, or an engine mount. I say engine mount because when I push down on the front end I don't get a creak which tells me it may not be the struts/mount. Hopefully nothing breaks before I get a chance to get it looked at.

I am thinking that also. Cannot reproduce the sounds when pushing down on the front end or from the sides when the car is parked. Does this mean a failed mount or do I lube it with some silicone?
