: Tuners POV on Zetec ECU with SVT engine 01svt_sedan 09-23-2010, 01:25 PM Its all in the title. Do you think a regular Zetec ECU will actually start an SVT engine. I mean with the vct eliminated and everything plugged in. I would like to here from all the tuners out there if they think that with out a flash on the Zetec ECU if it will fire an SVT engine. blackjack 10-09-2010, 11:40 PM it should start, maybe stumble at idle.. A guy did the same thing in a Escort ZX2.... sleepyboy 10-09-2010, 11:52 PM It will probably start but will never run right till ether the right ecu or tune is loaded to correct for the massive amount of air that it uses compared to the stock zetec.
