: Tuning options?

So i'm currently running a megasquirt in my car... which is fully tuneable. i'm gonna eventually get me a pair of LC-1's to monitor both of the headers on my V6 swap.

the Megasquirt manual suggests going to a shop with a steady-state dyno to get tuned, especially the spark advance table. I'm wondering what Tom thinks and if he'd be willing to tune my car. i realize it's not a stock focus motor but unless i'm mistaken, tuning is tuning, yes?

either way let me know.

You dont need a steady state dyno to do your tuning , any dyno will do the job ,you are kind of far from me to make it to my dyno to do the tuning , or are you talking about remote tuning it ?

i'd be willing to do either or.

i was told a steady state dyno would be best for dialing in the spark advance because megasquirts have to be tuned from the ground up essentially.

and a remote tune would be fine, if i decide i want to make an epic road trip to have you tune it then i'll let you know. I'm still a little ways away from being tune ready but i figured it'd be good to figure out whether you're willing to tune it, how much you'll charge, etc.
