i am probably buying a 2003 SVTF with 100,000 on it, has new plugs, wires, brakes, tires. it is in ok shape, has factory HID's,red interior, and looks good except for two small dents on the passenger side. he is asking 5,000 for it. think it is a ok deal?
thanks again for all the help, sorry about all the post, i just want to make sure i know what i am getting into. thanks again.

Have you driven it yet.
5K isn't too bad, but I bet you could get it a bit lower.
I would really check around. Also, look at the belts, timing and serpentine.
Make sure you can shift easy, if it tends to be hard to get into gear ... could have some issues transmission wise. Mine starting having issues around 100K and I replaced my clutch slave 10K after that.
Be nit picky with the car.
Does the driver seem like someone who drives it like crazy or one that seems to take care of his/her cars. Look at their other rides, you can sometimes tell how a person takes care of cars by his/her other cars they own that they are not selling.

the guy is a tech, and has some other toys, this is his daily and it appears that he takes good care of it. he knows a lot about it, i plan on doing a timing belt, serp belt, and a trans fluid swap. how many miles do you think are left on it? i was hoping to get another 30-40 out of it. it is going to be my new daily so i need it to be reliable. he seems pretty firm on the price and ones with more miles than this one are going for more around here. it seems hard to find one in the midwest that is not over 7k. thanks
