how much tq can the svt clutch take ? i dont want to make it out just have some fun till i can save up and buy a stage 3 and torsen.

well, i've seen people run stock clutches on a powerworks SVT supercharger and they are at about 200 wtq, don't know how long they last, and i see people w/ SVT BBK JRSC's run stock clutches all the time and never have a problem!

Way back when i first went turbo, we were tuning my SVT and around 250wtq the clutch failed.... with only 8k miles on it.

Went with a stage 4 Clutchmasters and its been holding up fine for years.

so i guess 180 to 210 tq should be fine. one more question from what i read the spa wastegate sucks just want to know why. im going with tail wastegate thanks for the info.

^^^ Nope...my stock clutch gave up to Procharger's tq (8PSI in the signature) after a year of running it...

how hard did you drive it ? its my dd so i cant go to drive to hard its my only car. i do alot of highway driving to work and back

You're taking a chance with stock clutch by increasing the torque by any significant amount. The SVT clutch is not strong at all. Stock torque is maybe 135. Running a 50% increase is waaay out of its range of operation. Luckily, running 100% more power through the motor is perfectly safe [:)]

I was using it as a DD+2times dyno+2 autox+1 track event+1 hill climb race and then it started slip in 6....so I knew I will need new....
I have a picture how clutch looked like ;-) if u interested ;-)

The diaghram on my spa wg was leaking out of the box brand new.
