: Turbocharging my SvtF
Ive been looking around for a Turbo Kit for my 03 Svt focus and I can't seem to find one, I'm not getting an answer from Tom at Focus power not sure if he got my email or hes just been too bussy or if he stop making hes kits and Xios motorsport also stop with their Kit! Anyone knows another place were I can find me a Kit that can produce roughly around 300 whp and staying reliable?
Any Ideas as to were to look? thanks
kjsoccerdude 06-27-2010, 01:03 AM There aren't any complete kits out there right now. Tom still does his. He must not have gotten your email. Try PMing him on here. His kit isn't complete, but you can get just about everything from him.
Other than his kit the only other option is to piece one together yourself. If you go that rout check out the Buy/Sell section here daily to find the parts you need. I've got some stuff for sale if you need any of it let me know.
Ryan03svt 06-27-2010, 01:06 AM Im pretty sure tom is still making his DIY kit. Here is the link for his DIY kit which I personally think is the way to go if you want to go turbo.http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=226552
Another option is the FsWerks turbo kit which is in the works as we speak. Don't know when that is going to be completed but that is also an option for a turbo kit. There really are no other options besides making one yourself which can get pricy!
Hope this helps a little

svtcliff 06-27-2010, 09:41 AM you can always check out cfm. they offer a SPA set up which includes there turbo, mani, and wastegate. then you can pick up the downpipe that cfm sells also for that kit that allows you to retain the stock svt cat/orp/highflow cat. this would be your base for the kit and will require you to then obtain an intercooler and pipeing. BUT youll need much more after this just to get it tuned and running.

Cellvaunt 06-27-2010, 07:18 PM I would like to bring my 02 svt into the mid 200hp range with retaining my stock cat what would be a good turbo for me?
sorry i didn't feel like my question was worth making another thread
mlbbaseball 06-27-2010, 09:05 PM 250 hp to the wheels or crank?
camthman 06-27-2010, 09:11 PM I would like to bring my 02 svt into the mid 200hp range with retaining my stock cat what would be a good turbo for me?
I would highly consider ditching the stock cat, even for a performance cat from CFM or something (ideally ORP) Stock cat is a gooooood bottleneck.
Cellvaunt 06-27-2010, 11:15 PM well replacing the cat looks like it has to happen, the reason i asked was because my friend ran my car over a curb and split my header so i figured i might as well put the 350 for a new header towards turbo charging my car since I've always planed on doing it some day, after further inspection it looks like my cat is damaged as well so replacing it sounds like a great idea.
i have time to wait i don't need a car so i could pick up parts hear and there but i still have no clue how much it would cost in the end, could anyone give me a good guess? i'm expecting over a grand obviously but just how much over am i looking at?
Spinal 06-27-2010, 11:59 PM i'd say a solid 2grand.
a friend of mine picked up a used turbo kit from here, he paid 2200 by the time it was all said and done and his car was 232whp, and he got a sick deal as well.
bmylez 06-28-2010, 06:42 AM $2k???
Maybe if you find everything used at a garage sale.
If you want new quality parts, more like 4500.
SVTRSST 06-29-2010, 02:24 AM you can also pm dominic (focus_3xz) for all the hardware stuff minus electronics and injectors you will spend about 3500

Roushturboedzx3 06-29-2010, 06:53 PM Yes John it is
horsePOOGAS 06-29-2010, 06:56 PM I'm over 4500 with my kit.... I didn't cheap out on parts. for a budget build I would say 3000. It's possible to do it for less and that also would depend on your power goals.
Roushturboedzx3 06-29-2010, 07:01 PM when i had my kit i spent 3500 total on all new parts. but i also did the intercooler piping and fab work
