Would i require a "OBDII V1.3 USB Interface Cable" (ELM327?) which supports CAN bus?
If so, would this be the right one? EBAY:USB Diagnostic Interface V1.3 Cable (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CAN-EOBD-OBD2-OBD-2-Diagnostic-Interface-Auto-Scanner-/190404694648?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c55011278)

bump
Would i have access to all related sensors and system tests?
From what I understand, and correct me if i am wrong, the Ford focus is on PWM but the OBDII protocol supports very small amount of commands.

Why not just get a XCAL3 so you can check CEL , datalog , and flash tunes to your car

because i was hoping to do all that besides the flashing over a $25 cable, instead of shelling out $600+
