So I just past the year mark since selling my 03' SVT, and I thought I'd check in on my favorite Focus Forum!

While I do LOVE my new car still... there are things that I miss... the handling, the sporty little ZIP that it provided... not to mention this great forum!

I wish I kept it as a backup ride!


Thoughts? Anyone else sell their SVT?

i think my svt is a lifer. i will probably rebuild the motor and turbo it and make it atrack car later on. probably wont ever sell it

I love my focus. Its the first manual that I have owned. I has some things to touch up here and there but I hope to have it for a very long time.

Plus I don't see resale going up very much lol.

I also love my SVTF. I drive it now mainly for the Focus Meets and AutoX. Bought a second car for a daily and the SVTF gets some good rest in the garage weekly.

I also want to replace the engine later and rebuild to live even longer.

Same here for me. I plan on keeping mine and doing a complete rebuild or maybe try to cram an Ecoboost 6 from a Fusion later on. But that's all hypothetical. Strike that, just the second part.

I love mine to!! I'm not selling it unless I find a good deal on a sonic blue SVT lol

Yeah same here.. it's not worth it to trade in .. (although I wouldn't mind a White Pontiac G8.. slightly jealous).. Probably going to get another Focus in the next year as a daily driver so I can park my SVTf..

Was thinking about selling mine for a while. Decided against it, going to do some more mods to my SVTF and just drive it into the ground. I just can't let it go for a few grand. I've had it 5 years now and am still very attached [:)]

Honestly, I just can't find anything under $30k that I'd feel comfortable replacing this with. What other car weighs under 3,000 pounds, can (in one trip) move 2 desks, 3 office chairs and several computers, can blow the doors off of most cars in its class, and still comfortably take me on long road trips without a hiccup?

You just don't find many light-weight cars that are this good. Sure, there are more powerful cars out there, but I hate driving something that weighs 2 tons. It kills it for me.

I have a love hate relationship with my SVT. I dont have the money to mod the car and I think thats why I hate it sometimes. I only wish to be able to throw a S/C in it someday.

I adore my SVTF, and would only get rid of it when it starts rusting. And seeing that I live in northern Illinois where snow is common in winters (as is the accompanying salt), it will rust sooner or later.
