Head work and cams [Archive]

Does anyone know any shops in Washington or Oregon that do head work and cams.. I'm talking port and polish, and stage 5 cams.. Anyway, let me know..

Can't help you with port and polish.

As for cams, your only off-the-shelf choice is Cat Cams through C-F-M. They aren't listed in stages, just lift and duration. Any competent performance shop should be able to do a cam swap. Nothing very complicated. One caveat: when getting different cams, you need different buckets (lifters) or else you won't get the full potential of the cams. If you have to replace all 16 buckets, that's $240.

Cams are an expensive way to get very little power. Only reason I have custom cams is my friend installed them before I bought the car.
