shouldn't you get two of these? might pull harder to one side if you don't! [poke]

the header works with the turbo?
sailor 04-20-2010, 10:05 AM Posted via FF MobileYa bbeat me to it Spinal!! (grin)
egman2005 04-20-2010, 10:46 AM i was questioning why that was on there.
the turbo does not need that header in fact it wont work with it

Set of Two [poke]
As for the header, I assumed it would work, I'll have to give them a call.
The header will not work with the turbo.
GPkustoms 04-20-2010, 11:58 AM The header will not work with the turbo.
Doesn't make much sense if you ask me, but I'll not buy it then. DO any other headers work? I would rather have headers since I'm going to be boosted.
warneej 04-20-2010, 12:08 PM Omg. You'll have a turbo manifold instead of a header. One is used in place of the other.
I suggest doing a little research first [thumb]

research is always something you need to do before doing anything. you do not want to waist any money. not a good idea to go into something that you do not know much about
Blackcatn2o 04-20-2010, 12:44 PM I hope you get 4 spark plugs in a pack or it's going to run like shit.

I did plenty of research, but overlooked the header part because I never seen it asked or discussed before, and usually the FS guys are good about putting whether or not something works with their kit on the site. I never actually visualized it installed otherwise I would have noticed. The header can't ship without a release anyway, so I wasn't worried about wasting money. I'm not installing the kit, and don't have the time to fully research it all. Whoops!
Your best bet is to call FSWerks, and chat with them. They can tell you what you need to know to make an informed purchase.
Regarding the header. This is not a Zetec, there is no shortie header that you can bolt a turbo to. The FSWerks turbo kit if a complete turbo kit designed to be bolted to your engine without requiring other parts (although there are additional options).

You can see the turbo in the center, and it is bolted to a turbo manifold. That will install in place of a header. And above it is the down pipe which will then connect it to the exhaust.
Moved to Forced Induction Chat.
1turbofocus 04-20-2010, 08:10 PM I would also drop the oil cooler as well , It isnt needed and can cause engine failure
Tom
warneej 04-21-2010, 09:32 AM This kit is not emissions compliant either (just like the header) so if you're worried about the "release" then I wouldn't go Turbo...

I'm not, Alabama doesn't have emissions.
Schroeder02 04-21-2010, 12:04 PM If you’re doing a clutch I would put a Limited slip Diff in the car. It’s possibly the most over look modification that will truly make the car drive better.
pitchedblack04 04-21-2010, 03:33 PM ^^^^times a million.
GPkustoms 04-21-2010, 10:12 PM LSD is on my second order list also, though that is probably something I will do once I am in the ghan
Schroeder02 04-22-2010, 06:52 AM LSD is on my second order list also, though that is probably something I will do once I am in the ghan
I would do it first, do the trans work then start on the other items.
Ever one over looks the diff, I did one in my svt as the last item and if I had known how much better it made the car drive it would would have been the first thing I did.
UnFocusedST 04-22-2010, 09:42 AM Do the clutch and diff at the same time. If you don't you'll have to pull off the tranny twice.
