Hey Guy`s, I have my PC installed and am now tuning with Tom, My question is the idle noise the super charger makes. I have listened to all the videos I could find. Most make a kind of rattling noise. Very metalicky? I took it back off to double check it. No up or down movement on the impeller bearing. But there is back and forth movement,maybe a 1000th of an inch. I can dublicate the noise with the engine off, by just tapping the serpentine belt. I installed a new key way in the pulley side. Is this sound normal? runs great other than this noise. Thanks for the input.

Make sure your pulley is aligned., it may be causing stress on the axel and housing

Yeah, I am sure I have it lined up straight now, as I damaged a new belt before. Turned out it was the pc idler pulley . Seems you can move the whole mounting system around alot.

See that happened to me before as well on my old focus. I never really could find out what exactly it was.. never could create the noise my tapping the though...

Needless to say everything worked perfectly
