I've noticed that when the motor is still somewhat cold, the car seems to stumble a bit when i'm going up through the gears. Once the temp is up a little everything is just fine. Is this normal for the SVT's? Its got 55,000 miles on it. Thanks for the info.

probably could do with a tune. that should sort the stumbling.

Mine runs fine cold, I just hate driving it because the high idle makes it hard to drive

mine just revs high for about 5 mins, then it idles at about 900 all day long. I hardly know its running when im stopped lol I always look at the tach to make sure. lol but untill it warms up, it just does the stumbling. Could the O2's be causing it? as far I know they are OE.

Do you have a CEL(Check Engine Light) on?

The only nice thing about my cold starts is the cool sucking sound my CAI gives.

Nope no check engine light at all.

^^^Yes, unfortunately that is pretty normal for the factory tune.
It's not nearly as bad on 2004 models (with ZED0 ECU tune), but the cold running problems are still there along with some everyday driving issues.

As mentioned, an aftermarket tune will fix all those issues and more. [thumb]

I have an 04 and even with toms tune it runs a little rough when its cold but the tune definetly helped, when I first got the car it ran like crap until it warmed up. Its normal though

Ahh ok, no biggie then. as much as I'd like to, the SVT isn't going to get an SCT. My mustang has the 4 tune SCT flip chip, and that gets all the go fast goodies, the SVTF is just the DD :)

Thanks for the info!

My car still has the stock tune and runs rough when cold. Seems worse around 2000-2200 rpm. I switched gas from a no name brand to Shell V-Power (both premium grade) and it made a noticeable improvement in the rough running.

Yea I run nothing but BP/Exxon/Shell/Sunoco. No Wawa for this SVT. lol
