has anyone else had a problem with their throttle cable making a groove in the top of the valve cover? cuz mine has and it looks kinda sketchy... also wondering if anyone has a valve cover for sale or know of any websites that sells valve covers. let me know... thanks

i know f2 has valve covers for both zetec and duratec engines...

ok, but i still wanna replace the valve cover then fix the throttle cable situation. know of any sites i can buy a stock replacement?
^^^Try Hilbish Ford or Tousley Ford for new factory parts.
(I'd love to hear what they want $$$ for a brand new valve cover)
Otherwise, you might try you local boneyard.
A much cheaper (and custom) alternative would be to get your valve cover painted or powder coated. [;)]

Mine created a small scuff as I found the pages that WD40 posted a little too late a few years ago. I even have the shorter throttle cables since mine is an '04. I used a piece of wire and mounted it to the rear right bolt of the valve cover. I haven't had any problems in the last 3 or so years and it hasn't gotten any worse. Still was too late though [:(]
