Well I'm starting to work on the new SVT and I'm finding I may have an issue I wasn't planning on. I knew when I bought this car that it was going to need a new clutch as the previous owner disclosed it slipped bad until warmed up. No big deal, right? The car has a Fidanza aluminum flywheel with the replaceable steel insert, which is only $50 or so to replace, and readily available. The stock clutch has already been replaced, I believe with a SPEC clutch, which is slipping now. I am finding out that many of the clutch manufacturers apparently had some supply issues back in 2007, with pressure plates I believe, and they designed their own flywheels to work with their clutches. So now, unless I'm missing something, it would appear that the Fidanza flywheel is useless because none of the available clutches will mate up with it. Any suggestions? BTW this is for the JRSC car so I'm thinking of a stage 2 or 3 clutch.

Maybe talk to the guys at SouthBend...I THINK they use a Fidenza, but maybe they modify it (to use an Audi A4 pressure plate I think).
I have one...not in the car yet though.
I did a lot of diggin' around about SVT clutches, and SouthBend seems like the way to go...

I'm hoping to find a disc/pressure plate set-up and not have to do a new flywheel. Found ClutchNet but have read some horror storries about their product. Southbends' website they can modify your flywheel to work with their pressure plate for $125, at which point I'd probably just do a clutch/flywheel kit. Was hoping to do this for less than $1000!
