Hey what's up guys. As some of you may have read, I sold the focus and bought an 04 Mustang GT in December. I've been pretty busy trying to get it the way I wanted it and thought I'd update you guys on it's progress.

So far installed:

MAC CAI
Magnaflow catback exhaust
MAC O/R Prochamber midpipe
4.10 rear end gear
SCT SF3 tuner tuned by American Muscle
2 step rev limiter

Coming very soon:
75 MM TB and Plenum
H&R full suspension kit

Coming by end of the year:
150 shot nitrous
New rims 18x9 for the front, 18x10.5 for the rear. Should be able to run a 315 out back.
Nitto 555r Drag Radials

Hoping to cut some decent times at the 1/8th mile this spring. Then get the nitrous installed and run some really nice times. I'm loving the Mustang aftermarket. Everything is so much cheaper than it was for the focus. 4.10 Ford Racing Performance Parts gears cost me $160. CAI was $130. Catback was $300. Midpipe i picked up used for $130, $270 new. Even a new clutch, which I'll need for the nitrous is only $170 or so.

I'm installing the midpipe in a couple weeks after I get back from the Daytona 500. I'll update you guys with a soundclip after install.

Looks like it's gonna be a 1/4 mile car. He did say he's getting drag radials.

1/8 mile. Closest 1/4 mile to me is about 2 hours away. It's still gonna be my DD but with seperate rims and rubber for the track. Nitrous will only be used at the track. Hopeing to cut some decent 60 ft times with a 315 DR rear tire. Won't start spraying til 2nd gear more than likely. Can't get 1st to hook under full throttle as is anyway. Although that is on these crapper Cooper Zeons. They'll be replaced with Nitto NT05s after they wear out.

I'll try and post some up in the next couple days. Have to clean up the engine bay. Had the intake manifold coolant runner crack and spray coolant everywhere. Apparently a pretty common problem on these cars, to the point of a lawsuit in either 1999 or 2000. Once I get that cleaned up, I'll post some pics. I should also have the prochamber midpipe installed shortly. I'll try and post an exhaust clip as well.

Funny thing is a kid a couple blocks from me bought the old focus, so I see it at least 3 times a week.

I couldn't pass it up. Cleared my negative equity, made positive equity, kept the payment basically the same, insurance went up $15/every 6 months. Couldn't say no.

I will say that at times I miss the focus. You know the old adage. "It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow." Just don't get to really open up the mustang very often, although power sliding corner exits is a good bit of fun.
