so i have 1998 vw golf vr6.. with a schrick intake manifold, apparently schrick used a flapper valve from a ford car(unknown) for the dual stage intake, mine broke.. and need to find out what part it is... so who got the knowledge?
even tho i ended up with a VW theres still ford love in there lol

I think they use those on mustangs. This is fake Ford knowledge cuz I don't really know.

If it a genuine Ford part it will have an engineering number on it too, that is the gold right there.

thanks guys ill try and do it asap, im in the middle of moving so its kinda hard.
its funny i didnt even see this before theres some sort of recirculation valve on top of the mani kinda looks like a diverter valve and it has the ford stamp right there!

one of the contours used a DSI, think it was their v-6, might also have been for the yamaha v-6 in the SHO...other than that, can't help ya.

just take it off, get the part nimber from it and cross refference it at autozone or something.

Actually, Ford used Bosch fuel injection back in the early 80's. So it's a German part. What you are looking for is called a VAM. (vane airflow meter) They where on all of the boosted turbo Fords back in the day, with the exception of the '79 Turbo GT. Most easy to find are the ones off of Turbo Coupes or Merkur XR4Ti's. Larger ones can be found on the 87-88 T-Coupes. I think Ford Probes used them as well, but the turbo 2.3's where my game. Check out: http://www.aa1car.com/library/vaf_sensors.htm
They should be pretty easy to find on the net. Most guys toss 'em for MAFs. If you can't find one PM me, I may have a couple up in my attic.
