I was on my way to Toledo, and I passed this as well as a new 5.0, but the 5.0 looked just like a regular GT with new emblems. This caught my eye though, the 2011 Mustang V6 Performance Package. I could tell it was the V6 because of the shape of the new dual exhaust. The car was on 19s that looked dark, the car itself was silver with a black strip down the side that said mustang. It also had Xenon projectors and a nice grille... 30mpg and 305hp, sign me up! [thumb]

I think it's cool, and I'd like to see what other performance options are on that package- like tubular control arms, suspension drop, or whatever. The Mustang is still heavy even with the lighter V6, so it's going to be interesting to see what else they do to make it high performance.

I know with the performance package their essentially giving you the track pack from the current GT. So bigger sways, stiffer springs, and 19s that are very wide with Pirelli P-Zeros. They are also putting the GT brakes on the V6 for the performance pack. For the 2011 GT Brembo brakes are an option, not sure if they will be an option for the V6. It still won't be a light car, but the current GT is fairly close to 50-50, and this V6 should be even better. I think this car is a likely candidate for my next ride.

Nice find Kyle!

I believe the Track Pack also included a recalibrated Stability Control program that is much less intrusive.

Heavy compared to what? It's lighter than most all it's direct competitors. Here's more info http://media.ford.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=31278

Nope, just took those as I went by it. Getting a good side shot was tough, because I was the only one in the car.

Not a fan of the backwards hockey stick. But the rest of the car looks good.

Exactly...by todays standards the Mustang is light..the GT is around 3500lbs and the V6 about 3400lbs. Compared to the other pony cars and other sports cars out there that are considered super cars...its pretty light. But, with this new added power that weight might not even transfer to your brain, also if Ford tunes it properly and makes it feel like on its feet. Performance package v6 should be good...and brembos on the GT is a pretty cool option.

Id still need a GT, I just don't feel Id be happy starting up my mustang if it had a v6 in it....I'm expecting that deep v8 rumble.

That's how I thought initially, but now I wonder if I could deal with it. If you can get the brembos as an option on the V6 performance package, I may be sold.
