Ok so here is my question. What is the best engine to do a swap with considering time/money/reliability/whp? i have been thinking about this for a very long time. if anyone can chime in and let me know that would be great. i would like to see 350 whp without blowing stuff all the time.

The Zetec would probably be the easiest to swap in place of your SPI. Any way you go, you're looking at a LOT of work to get close to 350whp.

ok but should i go with the svt or the non svt? im gunna build the internals either way... get some lsd... im going all out as soon as i get the money. hence a full time job. im out of college and in the drafting career. i think it will be some time before i do this but i would like to see my options now.

Well you wouldnt need to build the internals of a SVT engine, its already done. If you can find a SVT engine and trany that be the best base for you to reach your hp goals.
Now if you wanted build a complete engine just for the experince, then a Zetec would be a good one as well.
Also plan on geting a cheap and relaible daily driver. It is very hard to build a car when its your only car.

o yea norcal i know... hahahaha i was thinking honda for dd since there so reliable lol... but is there better internals out there then the forged internals from the svt? if there is would it really be a plus to hp/reliability? and if it is then i think i would go with the non svt and build it from the ground up... but which would cost more also? would i be putting alot of forged internals in the non svt engine? god i wish i was a wiz when it came to engines... i mean i know alot but not everything.
