so last night i parked my car in my normal spot in my diveway it sets on a hill it snowed last night like an inch i went out to move the car to the street so my drive dosent icr over and get stuck it has a manual mtx75 i put in R back out and go to put it in 1 and i cant i can only go in 5 and R i took the center concel out to see if th zip tie i had holding the plastic clip that everyone says dont break broke and it was in tacked but the spring on the right hand side was loose as in it had no tension dose anyone no how the to ends are placed PICS would help alot thanks

Post some pics. Also try checking where the shifter cables attach to the tranny to move the shifting fork. About 4 months ago I had that snap right off and had to use some vice grips to get it into 3rd then drive it for about 30 mins of highway at 5500 + rpms :(
