If you have a full donor car with wiring harnesses and ECU it's possible. Some mounting points for the engine mounts will be different, esp the pass side mount from the duratec to the zetec so you may need to fab something up.

Other than that, take the Pats system from the donor car and input into the new car and you should be set on most things.

Exhaust will bolt a tad differently as well...unless you're just having an exhaust shop connect the piping.
Gauge cluster from zetec may have to be swapped but not positive.

anything is possible with time and money :-D

but starfury seems to have the right idea. If you have complete engine, ECU wiring harness, PATS system and why not throw the SVT cluster in there too.

Talk about a pain rewiring the car. Depending on the condition of your donor car it might be cheaper just to fix that car up instead of the swap lol

You "should" be able to take out the front subframe of the SVT and bolt it directly into the 06.

Just curious ,but the same would apply to a 2000-2004 ZX4 right? You could swap the SVT motor, tranny , ecu cluster and so on into a the ZX4 and given that i have an svt foci , i could pretty much take the wanted pieces from the svt and put them in the zx4 right? given its a mtx zx4. There shlouldn't be much problem beside exhaust replacement and of course the hours of labor.

I was asking on the basis of me doing a swap into a 00-04 mtx zx4. Sorry to use your thread, figured it would be an appropriate place to ask.

salvaged will always show with the existing VIN, but you can register again once you show it works...

It is impossible to change the title from salvaged to clean. What is the definition of salvage? The car was damaged and you restored it. How can you call something clean when it wasn't clean at one point in time? Salvage just makes the resale lower, but doesn't affect your ability to insure it or anything.
