: SVT, Saleen, Roush or Steeda SHO!
DJslurp1200 09-29-2009, 06:29 PM I think the new SHO is awesome... but seriously!
Lets talk about the serious potential these cars clearly have!!
I can only imagine if one or some of the leading Ford Performance Specialists had tweaked the new SHO to REALLY perform with some of the other more respectable performance luxury sedans like AMG, Dinan, M series and more!
What do you guys think?
djo90 09-29-2009, 06:35 PM it'd be cool but get pricey. I know that SVT is only allowed a mustang ad a truck now so that sucks

Well considering the performance the SHO currently provides... and for the money I think it's a fair buy...
For the "Dedicated American Enthusiast" I just think a 600+ hp AWD BMW, AUDI and Mercedes Destroying american Sedan would be badass... not that it doesn't run good now... I just see the potential...
Hell as quiet as the car was already designed especially with emissions in mind...
Just think what an SRI, high flow cat, 3" exhaust and better tune would do!!!
(for the "Non-Green" states)
Hotniks 09-29-2009, 06:44 PM Would be cool to see a Roush or SVT, but would be way overpriced. As is stock I think they were seriously misguided when they priced the new SHO, it needs to be about 5 grand less.
kylesvt720 09-29-2009, 06:48 PM Hennessey plans on building performance parts for the Taurus SHO...

That's the only downside with Ford... And they're only going to try to get you even more at the dealer!

That should be very interesting! And would make for a cheaper alternative probably then just buying a hopped up version from the dealer!
Phokus 09-29-2009, 06:58 PM I saw my first new Taurus on the road, it was a SEL. They live a few blocks down from me!
I saw the SHO at the dealer on Monday and sat inside and played around with stuff, pretty damn cool.
Wonder what a beefed up one would be like?
Lol Hennessey SHO Moarboost
kylesvt720 09-29-2009, 07:01 PM I'm guessing Steeda will get in there, and K&N for intakes, Magnaflow, Corsa, Borla, etc, for exhausts...
DJslurp1200 09-29-2009, 07:04 PM I could just see an all black SHO with a blacked out grill... no chrome ANYTHING and lowered on some black 20"s (no polished lip or anything) and some nasty gurgling exhaust and loud intake and spooling from the turbos... Hmm...
greddy339 09-29-2009, 07:05 PM rousch's and saleen's basic basic package is nothing more that body kit, different rims and bolt-ons engine wise and they charge a fortune for it! now if you go forced induction route expect to pay wayyyyy more! i have never seen the worth in the bullet, mach, steeda, rousch, shelby, and whoever else can cash in on the mustang is not worth the price they charge for the mods provided

Well in all honestly the Shelby GT (n/a model shelby) was the only N/A aftermarket tuner edition of the mustang that was faster than a base GT... the N/A saleen and roush were actually slower acceleration wise than the base GT!!
Roush of course handled alot better but any if much better than the shelby...
I could see myself buying a shelby though because that name will be worth more than any other tuner out there as time passes!
kylesvt720 09-29-2009, 07:21 PM All you need is a better flowing exhaust, and a hand held tuner to turn up the boost...
That car will make 400hp, easy.
Jgrove998 09-29-2009, 08:03 PM Just think what an SRI, high flow cat, 3" exhaust and better tune would do!!!
I have always thought the same thing for the new SHO.
evanjfrancis 09-29-2009, 08:19 PM ya im excited to see the first few race or tuner SHOs come rolling in...
03OrangeSVT 09-29-2009, 08:26 PM I'm just the opposite... I could care less about the SHO.
Is it a cool car...... yes.
BUT at $45,000 (just priced it at Ford) I cant see this as a well selling like the originals.
Phokus 09-29-2009, 08:34 PM Well, I'm sure you can haggle them down to like $41k or so, then you got to plop in your trade in so maybe you'd end up flippin 31k out of pocket
mlbbaseball 09-29-2009, 08:37 PM still, its expensive, no one will buy them for all out performance when you can get an evo or sti alot cheaper!
DrkKnight614 09-29-2009, 08:59 PM still, its expensive, no one will buy them for all out performance when you can get an evo or sti alot cheaper!
Idk if anyone bought the older one for all out performance either. Its not what the new SHO is suppose to be. IMO it is a great deal for what it is, a powerful, sporty, large semi-luxury sedan with great styling and excellent safety.
Als RS8 09-29-2009, 09:15 PM saleen cadilac fleetwood
bringler26 09-29-2009, 11:25 PM Why do people mention saleen for aftermarket parts now theyre dead... I have to say that 45k for the SHO is alot but Im sure people will buy it none the less
ineedtafocus 09-30-2009, 01:44 AM i saw one today on my way to class! it was nice, drove beside it for about half a mile, it was the nice white color, idk what it is called exactly, but it looked soo nice, i wish i could afford one
2wheeladict 09-30-2009, 02:05 AM that sho is gonna be sick. im thinking its going to be alot like euro turbo cars, a few bolt ons and a good tune and youll have all the power youll ever need on the street and then some.

I completely agree... while I appreciate the engineering that has been done behind the scenes to produce the car... Like alot of Fords that are introduced or reintroduced for the first time again... They are always priced too high to make the consumer more prone to buying vs. the competition's cars for the same amount of $$$ or less....

Why does everyone exploed the price of these cars tho, MSRP is $38,000...
For $38k, you get a lot of car.

Ya but you know how it is with the dealers... MSRP might be $38k but they'll jack it up to $45k+ due to some BS about demand and with dealer fees and taxes that will bring it up more...
I agree for $38k you get alot of car but atleast for the first year of production I imagine the dealers trying to hike up the price a bit bringing it either out of reach or too much to justify...

Glad I get A plan then... BAHAHAHAHAHAHA...
(I'm not buying one of these, but if I did.)
Black02focus_zetec 09-30-2009, 03:02 PM The sho Sleeper effect
Over the years, the SHO Shop could make any Taurus SHO out-handle a BMW, stop like a Porsche, and out-accelerate a Corvette. I should know...
check this place out it is legit
